New Timeline Released For VeChainThor, Shows New Dates For Wallet Migration And Token Swap

In a new Medium post on July 2nd, VeChain Foundation let consumers know that the have decided on a new plan, which is based on the concerns of their followers. When the wallet is finally launched, it will be “the portal to all kinds of DApps on the VeChainThor Blockchain.” Since the wallet is so crucial for the overall goals of VeChainThor, they wanted to make sure that the features adhere to what their customers wants.

In their post, they describe the way that that they want to revise the original plan. Those efforts primarily include changes to the release date. The first date noted is the release of the VeChainThor Ledger application, which should be in early August, but nothing has been confirmed.

In July, consumers can expect to have a few of the releases happening. The first release is the Wallet on July 9th. With that release, consumers will see the X Node Binding Service from July 9th “until 10 days after the VeChainThor Ledger app is available for migration.” Token swap services will become available around the middle of July, while the mobile wallet token swap service is scheduled for the day that the X Node Binding Service ends.

After the mobile wallet token service becomes available, the X Node monitoring will resume. Until everything is finished on the timeline, the company plans to “backdate and compensate VTHO to token holders for the X Node binding and token swap period.” To ensure that VeChainThor can keep up with the needs, they have created a wallet observation function, which lets consumers create their wallets with other options, like a hardware wallet or desktop wallet. With this modification, users will have access to X Node Binding, token swap and X Node/Economic Node management.

If the user wants to link the X Node with the Ledger, they will need to wait for support. Support will let the user create the right VeChainThor address with the Ledger application specifically.
