The Internet Computer (ICP) price has been on a run, gaining around 20% in just four days. Many traders are beginning to pay more attention to this Layer 1 project, and some analysts believe this might just be the beginning of something bigger.

One of the analysts, Crypto Charts (@Cryptokartha), shared an update that has sparked interest in the ICP price outlook. He previously spotted the setup for a breakout earlier in June and predicted a 2x rally. Now, he says the chart has confirmed his expectations.

According to Crypto Charts, ICP broke out of a descending channel and has already retested the breakout level. This kind of setup typically suggests that the coin has moved past a key resistance and is now consolidating before the next leg up.

He also mentions that ICP is now forming a bullish flag, which often indicates a continuation of the rally. If this flag breaks to the upside, the analyst believes that ICP could more than double from its current levels.

The chart he shared shows the breakout from the downward sloping resistance line, followed by a retest, and now a tight consolidation just above it. These kinds of patterns are often used by technical traders to signal major trend changes. So far, ICP is already up 17% since the breakout was spotted.

While the short-term looks promising, another analyst, Hitman (@Hit_ICP), believes that the Internet Computer is still highly undervalued in the bigger picture. He argues that even at $6, the ICP price is far below where it should be, describing it as “criminally undervalued.”

His argument is based on what he sees as the broader utility and tech behind ICP. He suggests that buying at this level could be like getting a $20,000 asset at a steep discount. His post also hints at a potential AI-driven rally that hasn’t even started yet, suggesting that once the hype around AI and blockchain comes together, the ICP price could go much higher.

On the chart, ICP has repeatedly bounced from support levels near $3, creating a strong base. Every time it comes close to that zone, buyers step in. This kind of long-term accumulation could be a sign that larger investors are slowly building their positions while the market remains quiet.

Another voice backing ICP is Kyren (@noBScrypto), who argues that many people overlook Internet Computer simply because it doesn’t create hype like other Layer 1s. But in terms of what it is building, he believes it is one of the most complete and advanced blockchain platforms in the entire space.

Kyren points out that ICP doesn’t rely on centralized cloud providers like AWS or Google Cloud. Instead, apps on ICP run entirely on-chain. That means fewer security issues, no cloud outages, and a more decentralized future for dApps. This infrastructure is already proving resilient and self-sufficient.

One of the most interesting parts of the project is that it supports running AI models directly on-chain. ICP developers have already deployed GPT-2 on the blockchain, showing that AI and blockchain can work together in a truly decentralized way. This opens the door for apps that can evolve on their own and operate transparently.

The platform’s security is also cutting-edge. It uses something called chain-key cryptography, which handles keys and transactions in a way that is distributed and highly secure. This also allows assets like ckBTC—a Bitcoin version on the Internet Computer—to be used within the ecosystem with smooth cross-chain support.

In terms of usability, the project flips the usual gas fee model. Developers pay for computation, not the users. That means no gas fees for end users, making it easier for people to adopt and use apps built on ICP. This user-friendly design could be key to onboarding more people into Web3.

Scalability is another major strength. ICP uses a modular system of “canisters,” which are basically smart contracts that can run independently. These canisters operate across different subnets, allowing the network to expand almost infinitely without losing performance. This structure is perfect for building large-scale apps that need to scale globally.
