Cryptocurrency has always had a tight connection to betting and gambling. In fact, online gaming is one of the most developed parts of the crypto industry, with new players coming and using its transparency and fast payments on a daily basis. However, the use of crypto in this way does not seem to be slowing down — quite the opposite, as the new partnership between Ultimate Fighting Championship and Latin America’s crypto-only casino was just revealed.

UFC teams up with Stake.com

The UFC is a leading MMA organization, and its partnership with Stake.com is one of the most powerful moves for the crypto betting sector. So far, Stake.com was focusing on online casinos and sportsbooks, but now, it might try to access the martial arts sector.

The new partnership was announced this Sunday, March 7th, and it will make Stake UFC’s first official betting partner in Latin America and Asia. Interestingly enough, the deal will not cover Brazil, which is UFC’s key market.

From what is known, the two companies started working side by side only last week, on March 3rd. Stake’s users received access to UFC’s unique digital content, that was created and released in regard to the so-called fight week.

The importance of the partnership

According to the announcement, the UFC will also offer things like VIP experiences, exclusive promotions, social content, and more, in addition to the pay-per-view, to Stake users.

Nick Smith, the VP of global partnerships at UFC, also added that the company is thrilled to partner with an exciting platform like Stake. Together, they will offer exclusive social and digital content to the fans, as well as a highly innovative gaming experience.

This is also a major move for the crypto industry, given that stake is a crypto-only casino and sports betting platform. Furthermore, it is safe for UFC to team up with Stake, as the platform is licensed by the island-nation of Curacao.

At the moment, Stake supports nine cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), XRP, TRON (TRX), EOS, and Dogecoin (DOGE).
