Tron has been on a mission to show the cryptocurrency community that the industry has to move to Web 4.0, a decentralized ecosystem where transactions and data transfer will be fast and seamless. The Tron Foundation’s efforts towards the same were detailed in the latest Tron Weekly Report which touched upon its technological progress and the roadmap for the Justin Sun-led cryptocurrency.

The report stated that over the past week, network architecture was optimized for database storage and all related documentation was added. The release also said,

“Added a demo on network log collection function featuring error log collection. Obtained the current node block height. In terms of mechanism updates, the network reviewed anonymous token transfer and performed unit testing to configure anonymous token transfer. Smart contract: optimized event parser and reduced storage.”

With respect to on-chain data, the organization claimed that a total of 1365 nodes were added to the Tron network, while at the same time the block height exceeded 10 million. The real-time total number of accounts was clocked at 3.104 million and the number of newly added addresses amounted to 44,585. Tron’s dominance in the DApp sector has been a parameter flaunted by Justin Sun. The DApp count rose to 477 because of 12 new DApps that were added over the previous week.

Tron also informed users about the community’s latest developments, with Tronics reveling in the test net launch of the Sun network. According to the data compiled by the company,

“Tron’s sidechain solution went online officially, incorporating a series of projects such as DApp sidechains, cross chain communications, scalability solutions in the Sun network will further expand the overall capacity of the Tron network, improving TPS and smart contract execution efficiency on Tron.”

Tron has also ensured that the developer community will get their fair share of developments to participate in, including the progress of the Atlas project and the successful completion of the BitTorrent token [BTT] airdrop.
