XRP/USD Medium-term Trend: Bearish

Resistance Levels : $0.46 , $0.47, $ 0.48
Support Levels: $0.44, $0.43, $0.42

Last week the Ripple cryptoasset was in a bearish trend. The cryptoasset fell from the high of $0.47 to the low of $0.42 on June 29. Later it made a bullish movement to the high of $ 0.46. Today, the cryptoasset is fluctuating horizontally at that price level.

The MACD line and the signal line are above the zero line which indicates a buy signal. Also, the price bars of Litecoin is above the 12-day EMA and the 26-day EMA which indicates that the bullish trend is continuing. Nevertheless, the relative strength index period 14 is level 51 which indicates that price of Litecoin is in the sideways trend zone.

XRP/USD Short-term Trend: Ranging

On the 1-hour chart, the price of Ripple is in a sideways trend. At a price $0.45, price of Ripple is trending horizontally. It is advisable for traders to abstain from trading at this point in time. Meanwhile, the MACD line and the signal line are neither above nor below the zero line which indicates a neutral signal. Also, the price bars of Ripple is neither above nor below the 12-day EMA and the 26-day EMA which indicates that a sideways trend is ongoing.

U.K. Banks Warned to Be Careful With Cryptocurrencies

The Bank of England has warned U. K. lenders to study cryptocurrencies before doing business in the space. In a letter sent out to the financial institutions in the country yesterday, the Bank of England Deputy Governor Sam Woods warned financial companies to take appropriate steps to protect themselves against "exposure to crypto-assets" which he believes are susceptible to "fraud and manipulation, as well as money-laundering and terrorist financing risks.
