Leaked Galaxy S11 and Galaxy Fold 2 Info Puts Samsung at the Very Top

As the year is coming to an end, the Android community seems to be more and more eager for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11, and we already have plenty of details about it as well.

The implied design of the new phone has, of course, already leaked, with some of them even claiming that there might be five different S11 versions, including Galaxy S11e and Plus flavors. The look will be similar but camera systems on the back should be different.

What we officially know is that Snapdragon 865 processor will power all 2020 Android flagship, and Qualcomm already revealed the type of features the new chip will power. The list of 865 features includes support for 5G, high-refresh-rate displays and up to 200-megapixel cameras among many. Galaxy S11 will allegedly be equipped with 120Hz screens and a brand new 108-megapixel primary camera.

However, there is a question among the industry circles and that is does the Snapdragon offer more than the Exynos 990?

Theoretically, the Exynos-powered Samsung phones should have an upper hand over their Snapdragon ones because of better integration and optimization. Still, some reports say that Samsung thinks the performance gap between Exynos and Snapdragon has widened.

Almost all recent Galaxy S models have been announced before the annual Mobile World Congress that happens every February in Barcelona. Until last year, Samsung hosted press events a day before MWC, with the Galaxy S as the biggest hit of the Sunday before the show. However, the Galaxy S10 Unpacked event had a different scenario, as Samsung usually unveiled the first-gen Galaxy Fold handset at the event as well. That is one of the reasons why the company decided to relocate the Galaxy S10 launch to the U.S. and scheduled it several days in advance of the MWC trade show.

Samsung will probably do something similar next year as well, as the company is about to introduce a brand new foldable phone alongside the Galaxy S11 series. However, this will not look like the previous first-gen Galaxy Fold, which folds out into a smaller tablet. The next Samsung’s foldable will have a clamshell design, something recently presented by Motorola and its 2019 Razr model. Samsung already confirmed the form factor, and a launch date should be known pretty soon.

The company also made the battery sizes of the Galaxy S11 and Galaxy S11+ publicly available through the submission of these parts for certification at government testing agency SafetyKorea. Galaxy S11 will, therefore, have a 4,500 mAh while Galaxy S11+ will be equipped with the 5,000 mAh.

Famous Samsung insider Ice Universe utilized Twitter in order to reveal the provisional date for the Galaxy S11 invasion, which is where we expect the clamshell foldable to be presented as well. According to him, that will happen on February 18, and the event might be set in San Francisco.

Rumors: Samsung Electronics is tentatively launching the Galaxy S11 series and clamshell foldable phones in San Francisco, USA on February 18, 2020.

If that’s true, it means it is almost a week before the MWC that starts on Monday, February 24. That also means that the lead press events from MWC that are happening on Sunday will not be the first one as well.

It’s also worth mentioning that Samsung stock is on the rise these days. It is trading at 53 300 KRW showing a 2.73% growth. It started a year at a much lower position of around 37 000 KRW. However, it began to gain quite fast already in January. Since that time, there haven’t been any serious falls. The highest price was observed a month ago, on November 15, its price was 53 700 KRW.

Motorola Razr: Ретро в современном исполнении

JerryRigEverything’s Galaxy Fold torture test shows the phone still isn’t very durable

It’s worth commending Samsung for taking the time out to fix the problems with the original Galaxy Fold. Granted, maybe some of these problems shouldn’t have been there in the first place – such as an easy-to-remove but essential plastic film – but it’s encouraging that Samsung delayed its most-hyped launch of the year to make a better phone.

Samsung says Galaxy Fold will run ‘hundreds’ of optimized apps at launch

Samsung’s Galaxy Fold was delayed so much we were beginning to think it wouldn’t even come out this year. Luckily that all changed last week. If there’s one benefit to the delay – besides, you know, a phone that won’t immediately break – is that it’s also given Samsung and developers some time to optimize software for the world’s most famous bendy phone.

Here’s a 34-second video of Samsung folding the Galaxy Fold over and over again

In case you haven’t heard, Samsung is working on a bendable phone. Since it first entered the fold (pun intended), we’ve wondered one thing: will folding the device over and over again show on the display? After all, things that fold tend to form creases, and as cool as a bendable display is, no one wants to use one with a giant damaged vertical strip running through the center.

‘Samsung Blockchain Wallet’ Will Tutor You to Store Your Bitcoin, Ethereum on Galaxy S10

The phrase “crypto wallet” has not been used during the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Fold at the electronics giant’s high-profile presentation in San Francisco on February 20. Instead, the company pushed the product as a private crypto key storage and an all-in-one blockchain platform called Knox, confusing some users on the core applications of the feature.
