Former President Trump aide, Anthony Scaramucci, has revealed he is a fan of digital currencies and the underlying technology known as the blockchain. Appearing in a recent virtual interview, the former White House Communications chief noted that crypto has a bright future while also discussing the investment strategy of his firm, SkyBridge Capital.

Crypto And Blockchain Have A Future

Anthony Scaramucci, who is best known for working in Trump’s White House for only 11 days, became a serial Trump critic after his dismissal back in 2017. The political consultant is not shy when it comes to sharing his views regarding the politics of the United States. But besides taking jabs at President Trump, Scaramucci has also shown quite an interest in finance and the stock markets.

As for crypto and blockchain technology, Scaramucci is optimistic about the future. In a recent conversation with Coinscrum Markets, the SkyBridge founder and managing partner stated that his firm has been seriously studying digital assets for the past two years. Mr. Scaramucci basically admits that he is a fan of crypto. He also sees great potential for digital assets and blockchain technology in the future.

“Since I returned to SkyBridge in 2018, we’ve done a deep dive into the digital assets space. I am a fan. I believe that digital assest have a future, obviously the blockchain has a future.”

According to Scaramucci, Millennials are the ones primarily responsible for the adoption of cryptocurrency at the moment since they are beguiled by digital assets. He goes further to say that three of his five children are millennials who are willing to “transact and buy their Tesla in Bitcoin”. This demographic is not afraid of dipping toes in the crypto space the way the older generation is.

Scaramucci, who is nicknamed “The Mooch”, however, believes it is people from Generation Z that will push crypto higher into the stratosphere.

Worth mentioning that Scaramucci’s admission is the antithesis of Trump’s comments on crypto in July 2019. The United States president made it clear that he is not a fan of bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies, and Facebook’s Libra project.

Scaramucci Is Yet To Invest In Crypto

The financier believes there are a number of reasons why digital assets will have a future. He cites the way governments are currently run and the ever-expanding balance sheets as a few of those reasons.

In addition, Scaramucci points to blockchain technology as another thing that will certainly boost crypto. For instance, if an interlocked secure network can be developed on the blockchain to allow the private transfer of wealth without needing middlemen, it could even replace Amazon. And so the blockchain technology will “provide this amazing future”. “It will be a digital assets future, frankly”, he opined.

Despite his optimism in crypto, Scaramucci has not invested in digital assets as of yet. He, however, sees a high possibility that his company SkyBridge will in the near future develop a digital assets fund or at least invest in an already existing one.
