In a recent blog post, Coinbase announced that it had launched a new bookmark feature for Coinbase Wallet users. The feature will allow users to mark a few decentralized apps (DApps) as their favorite. The company also suggested that bookmarking is one of its most requested features. The newly bookmarked items will be available on users’ home screen.

While the exchange has introduced a unique bookmarking feature, it has also added a DApp explorer to the users’ homepage. It could be used to discover the best and most recent DApps without leaving the wallet. The company has made the DApp explorer the default home screen on the Coinbase Wallet browser.

Coinbase further announced:

“We’ve also made some usability improvements to continue providing the best user experience on the decentralized web. You can now easily switch between the browser and the wallet, without leaving the dapp you’re currently using.”

Coinbase announces that it has removed the chat option from the wallet. The company explains that one of its product design priorities is to make sending of cryptos between friends easier, and the company says it has better options to do this than through chat. Coinbase also suggests that removing chat for the meantime helps in streamlining user experience in terms of exploring the decentralized web or storing cryptos.

About two weeks ago, Toshi was renamed Coinbase Wallet. This is in line with the company’s “effort to invest in products that will define the future of the decentralized web and make that future accessible to anyone.” The company believes that everyone will own a crypto wallet in the future, which would allow them to access DApps, and this could further lead to an open financial system.

Toshi was developed merely a year ago by the Coinbase team. It featured the first DApp browser in the world. It is also the first wallet to add crypto collectibles.

Coinbase Wallet uses Secure Enclave and biometric authentication to store the private keys of a device. With the recent changes that the exchange is making to its wallet, it appears that the product will go through several changes in the coming few weeks. Till then, users can wait and explore what the company has to offer.
