While many blockchain and cryptocurrency platforms have primarily focused on their own progress through the economy, Cardano has take on a much different role. Instead, they have been bringing blockchain technology to developing countries as a whole. In a recent announcement from founder Charles Hoskinson, their current project has been to speak with the Mongolian government, offering ways to apply blockchain to both their businesses and their government.

To celebrate the time spent with Mongolian authorities, Hoskinson shared a photo of the meeting that he held with Damdin Tsogtbaatar, who is the minister. Still, he kept the post rather vague about the details of the meeting, only saying:

Cardano has been working for a while to help establish pilots for blockchain in the nations around the world that suffer from a poor economy. In fact, they took to Ethiopia to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in May, regarding the Ministry of Science and Technology. If the work goes according to plan, then Cardano will have the opportunity to train developers in Ethiopia in the innovations of blockchain technology. Hoskinson already has a group of developers that are expected to graduate this year, though he hopes that this progress will lead them to work on Cardano’s code.

The technology is so new that it is hard to tell what kind of improvement the Cardano technology will bring. There are plenty of companies in the area that stand to benefit from blockchain, but there have already been mainly failures that could lead them awry.
