Bitcoin.com CEO Roger Ver Says Why BCH And Dash Will Bring Economic Freedom To The World

Recently, Roger Ver, the CEO of Bitcoin.com sat down for an interview with Dash’s Joel Valenzuela to discuss the recent turbulent events of BCH.

He is one of BCH biggest proponent and is the perfect person to talk about the Bitcoin brand, Bitcoin Cash's hash war with SV, working on mass adoption, and whether chain splits are good for free market competition.

According to Ver, even though BCH hasn’t been a massive success, it hasn’t been a failure by any stretch of the imagination.

He stated:

“The price is the least interesting thing about cryptocurrencies, we need to look at what the digital currency actually does instead. If a coin or a network can bring economic freedom for all, then we will be able to say that the field is a success. Last year, the hype of 2017 died down but that is a pattern seen before and will be seen again in the future too.”

While talking about the performance of Dash in 2018, they noticed that transaction volumes did not fall despite bearish market.

In Venezuela alone, they added more than 2,500 merchants. Unlike blockchains such as Bitcoin, however, Dash offers the desirable properties of paper cash — namely, instant transactions (InstantSend) and privacy (PrivateSend).

Ver is not a Bitcoin maximalist and will always use the better technology.

He added:

“ We like anything that works. BTC just stopped and clearly, it was time for other cryptocurrencies to step up. In a way, the communities of Dash and BCH are almost similar in the way that both believe in a fully functional payment system that is fast and trustworthy.”

Earlier this month, Ver had compared coinism to nationalism. When nationalism surged, wars followed trying to defend just a single way of living and culture. Other cultures and nations were discredited and attacked just for being different.

Nowadays, the crypto market seems to be experiencing something similar and even end in the same way as nations, in wars. If the market wants to grow and prosper, coinism should stop.
