The Shiba Inu price is up a modest 3% today, now trading at $0.00001276. However, SHIB holders might have a reason to be worried since there’s an ongoing concern about their official X account.
Popular crypto YouTuber Zach Humphries talked about this to his 200k subscribers in his latest video.
In his video, Humphries shares a shocking rumor. The official SHIB account on X isn’t run by the dev team or Shibarium. This has created a lot of confusion. Most followers think the account speaks for the actual team, but it doesn’t.
This is a big problem. The account reaches millions of people with content that doesn’t match what the real team is doing. Humphries says he always tries to be honest about cryptos like SHIB, and this situation concerns him deeply.
Fake Tokens Being PromotedThe worst part is how the account promotes questionable tokens. These promotions take advantage of SHIB fans who trust what they see on the official account. Many of these tokens look like scams designed to make quick money for insiders.
Humphries pointed to a specific example. A token called “SHIB is for everyone” got heavy promotion on the account. This token’s price dropped fast after being promoted – exactly what happens in a pump-and-dump scheme.

“They’re using the SHIB community as exit liquidity,” Humphries warns. He tells viewers not to trust tokens promoted on the SHIB X account. Always check the official website (shib.io) before investing any money.
Many SHIB fans have lost money by trusting tweets from what they thought was an official source. They didn’t know the account might be working against their interests.
Trust Issues Growing?Humphries still owns SHIB tokens himself but feels frustrated about where things are heading. The real dev team barely communicates with the community. Big projects like the SHIB metaverse and games seem stuck in limbo.
He mentions Shytoshi Kusama, one of the main faces of SHIB, who often disappears for long periods. When Kusama returns, he rarely provides clear information about what’s next for SHIB. Humphries calls the whole situation a “mess” with poor organization and unclear leadership.
Meme coins are always risky, but Humphries hopes SHIB might recover when Ethereum and other cryptos bounce back. He asks his viewers what they think should happen next with SHIB.
For now, if you hold SHIB, be careful about what you read on social media. Not everything that looks official actually is.
