Wirex Announces Introduction of Iban for Customers in Spain and France

On Friday, Wirex announced that it introduced International Bank Account Number (Iban) for French and Spanish users. Wirex is a famous and known crypto-based Visa card payments company that is present across Europe.

The announcement has also included an increase on the account thresholds for users in the European Economic Area (EEA). The new limits range between $18,560 and $20,000 dollars.

With this new Iban functionality, users would have the possibility to send and receive cross-border payments in the European Union and all over the world.

Wirex co-founder, Pavel Matveev, this upgrade is the result of the effort made by the financial partners of the company and Wirex. He said that,

“The company is working in order to enhance the experience for all users and bridge the gap that exists between Wirex and other conventional financial platforms.”

The Iban is necessary to perform international payments and transfers. It is a list of alphanumeric characters that capture important data about the user such as the country code and bank account number.

By the end of 2017, Wirex had over 900,000 customers and its products have experienced an increased demand. At the same time, the company explained that it believes that in the future, there will be a growing demand for its Visa card. Cryptocurrency users are searching for different ways to spend virtual currencies and Wirex offers a great opportunity.

The company explained on the matter:

“Our recent steps towards providing a more streamlined and well-rounded service are reflected in the IBAN and account limit updates.”

Wirex is also planning to expand to North America and Asia since there is an increased demand from all over the world including Canada and other Asian countries. In North America, Wirex will have access to more than 600 cryptocurrency ATMs. After the United States, Canada is the second country in the world with the highest number of Cryptocurrency ATMs.
