The world’s first playable AAA NMO web3 game, Delysium has closed its first round of private sale. The sale, which was led by top investors Galaxy Interactive, Republic Crypto, and Alameda Research, ended with $4 million raised, which will be used mainly to support the game production and ecosystem.

The game is led by RCT AI, a technology company incubated by Y-Combinator. Yuheng Chan, CEO of RCT AI & Delysium said: “Thanks to the joint efforts of multiple partners and internal teams, we are working closely to accelerate the development process of Delysium. We believe that Delysium will become a bridge between web2 and web3 gamers, and we also aim to have Delysium as an anchor for us to continue exploring the future of web3 through AI.”

Other investors were Anthos Capital, Eureka Meta Capital, Y2Z Ventures, Tess Ventures, Zonff Partners, Infinity Ventures Crypto,  Lucid Blue Ventures, Unix Gaming, Ancient8, PathDAO,  YGG SEA, Mask Network, Smarti Labs, Metasense DAO, and other institutions participating in the investment.

The game is expected to go live by the middle of 2022 after it undergoes ongoing accelerated development. The team is also aiming to launch its Alpha & Beta version with a PVP tournament. 

Delysium gameplay

Delysium is a game set in 2045, depicting when humans discover a marvelous land in the decentralized virtual world and name it “Delysium”. This discovery starts a battle between the real and the virtual world where there are digitized versions of real human beings living with MetaBeings who are native residents born in the Metaverse.

Players can decide the fate and future of Delysium by fighting and winning a series of battles to protect and foster their interests through the power and resources they possess. The game has several features such as cyberpunk style, open-world, MMORPG, and UGC which make the gaming experience amazing.

There are various game modes that players can join to earn loot boxes (tokens, NFTs, game resources, etc.). They can then sell the loot boxes in the marketplace or consume them to upgrade the character/weapon/clothing with higher numerical values in PVE modes. They can also use the proceeds to craft buildings and create weapons/cyber bodies with skins by themselves, etc.

In addition, players will be able to equip, combine or upgrade their physical assets such as MetaBeings, virtual creatures, cyber bodies, weapons, vehicles, environmental objects through self-crafting or trading. The game also enables them to easily create their own narrative assets, including dialogue models, behavioral models, decision-making models, storylines, missions, and other personalized entertainment scenarios made up of AI-powered MetaBeings.

Delysium is different in that while the traditional web3 games are represented by Turn-Based Strategy games or Trading Card Games, it emphasizes diversified and supreme 3A open-world MMORPG experiences. This includes battle, exploration, construction, cultivation, social, and AI-driven MetaBeing gameplays, which makes “Play to Earn” truly “Fun to Play, Play and Earn”.
