Voyager has partnered with Dallas Mavericks on a five-year deal. Voyager will be the first international partner and crypto brokerage firm for the sports team. The two platforms will work together to make cryptocurrencies easily accessible to fans.

Voyager is one of the leading and publicly traded cryptocurrency trading platforms in the United States. Dallas Mavericks plans to hold a press conference later in the day to announce details of this partnership.

One of the agreements under this partnership is to change the name of the Mavs Gaming Hub. However, the new name of this gaming and event venue is yet to be announced. The partnership will also come with a series of educational programs, global activations and fan engagements.

Under this partnership, Dallas Mavericks will be the first global partner of Dallas Mavericks, and the two platforms will work together to expand their global reach and reach a larger audience. In 2019, the NBA unlocked the ability of teams to get global sponsorships in other countries apart from the US and Canada.

Commenting on this announcement, the governor of Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, stated,

The Mavs are proud to welcome Voyager to the Dallas Mavericks family. Crypto assets and applications are changing how business and personal finance are done. We believe our partnership with Voyager will allow Mavs and NBA fans to learn more about Voyager and how they can earn more from Voyagers’ platform than from traditional financial applications.

Dallas Mavericks has been one of the notable NBA teams that have shown positivity towards cryptocurrencies. It was among the first NBA teams to start accepting crypto as payment for tickets and merchandise.

In 2019, the team started accepting Bitcoin for payment and later expanded into Dogecoin (DOGE/USD) earlier this year. Cuban has been a major supporter of Dogecoin; hence, the meme token did not come as a surprise. 

Multiple crypto firms and platforms have created partnerships globally to expand their presence in the cryptocurrency space. This week, FTX, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in the US, signed an advertisement deal for the Super Bowl. The exchange is also the official sponsor of a leading baseball league.
