Podfather Adam Curry recently came on Joe Rogan’s Podcast, and he had all the praises for the crypto king: Bitcoin.

Interestingly, Curry wasn’t a bitcoin enthusiast until the government’s monetary policies and bitcoin’s store of value changed his stance on the leading digital currency.

“I was very anti-bitcoin until I sold a shit load of them at $900,” said Curry, who has his own podcast “No Agenda.”

He further shared that he got those BTC for nothing as people just gave them to him in the beginning while he continued to deny it.

However, now that he has become a bitcoin proponent, he made it clear that it’s all about bitcoin and not the shitcoins.

“Fuck all the altcoins, all that stuff,” he said. He doesn’t care about them; for him, it’s about the store of value.

“Ten years of data have shown that bitcoin is really the only one that you could trust. That is really the only one you cannot manipulate, and all the other coins are based off of it.”

He even shilled the digital currency to Joe, saying, “the apocalypse is coming, and you need bitcoin, at least one.”

This apocalypse will be coming thanks to the central banks. He said, “everybody wants to be your bank; that’s when they control you.”

And that’s why silicon valley, which controls everything and nothing is decentralized, is competing with the Federal Reserve to be your bank. This is when you get loans at negative interest rates, pay people to take the loan.

According to him, the crazy thing is all of this work, but that’s why one needs bitcoin.

“Historically, that has increased in value, no matter what you look at,” that is unlike the value of the US dollar that has diminished because they “have been printing more and more money.”

He illustrated how the truck he purchased in the 70s at $5,000 is now worth $50,000, thanks to the US dollar losing its purchasing value.
