Tron, a blockchain platform for deploying decentralized applications (Dapps), published its weekly report on March 18 in which it revealed that its partnerships with a number of crypto-focused firms – 8BTC, ICObench, and CoinCodex – are going smoothly.

Tron’s newly adopted project BitTorrent continues to make waves in the crypto sphere and this is evidenced by the increasing number of exchanges listing BitTorrent’s BTT token.

Tron is one of the leading blockchain projects in the world, and it does not come as a surprise that it was invited to the Token 2049 Blockchain Summit, the biggest and most important blockchain event in Asia.

According to the report, Tron received a warm welcome at the event, and there was an exhibition booth for both Tron and BitTorrent.

“As one of the most robust and fast-expanding blockchain teams around the world, Tron was highly recognized by professionals,” reads part of the report about the event held in Hong Kong from March 13 to March 14.

Regarding technical development, there was a number of upgrades completed, and as always, there is still more work in progress.

Tron, which has recently developed a knack for supporting social and charitable programs, released a poster on China’s Tree Planting Day.

Justin Sun, the founder of Tron had a chat with at least a million Houxin users and talked about BitTorrent, its potential one billion users, and the platform’s 100 possibilities. Sun sent out 500,000 BTT and 100,000 HCT during the live stream in a successful attempt to reward followers on the platform.

Tron launched a generous campaign in which users stand a chance to win a Mini Cooper and 100 million RMB (nearly $15 million) in prizes. To stand a chance to win a Mini Cooper, users need to follow Sun Yuchen’s Weibo page, share and follow posts related to the campaign, and mention three friends.

BCV wallet added support for digital tokens in Tron’s network ecosystem and has also accelerated efforts to support Dapps built on Tron.

“With BCV’s full support, all BCV users can try out Tron’s Dapp products in a more convenient way,” says the report.

Both Tron and Sun appeared on a number of media platforms including the popular CNBC news channel. This, according to the report, speaks volume about Tron’s growing popularity across the globe.

Tron’s native token, TRX, was listed on NovaDAX, one of the leading digital asset trading platforms in South America.

Ever since bursting onto the crypto scene, BitTorrent has enjoyed an incredible run that has seen the BTT token listed on 35 exchanges including Binance, Huobi, and more.

Tron managed to distribute 990 million BTT tokens to Tron (TRX) holders in less than three hours.

BitTorrent Speed, a blockchain application powered by BTT tokens was successfully debuted. The platform is scheduled to launch in Q2, but interested users can use their email addresses to sign up for the project.
