Altcoin Buzz, a popular YouTube channel with more than 460,000 subscribers, just dropped a video highlighting three altcoins they believe could make big moves in the second half of 2025. According to the analyst, the overall crypto market is picking up steam, and we might be headed straight into a full-blown altcoin season. Among the top picks? Ethereum, Ondo, and Plume Network. Each of them is making strides, whether it’s in tech development, user adoption, or new partnerships.

Ethereum has come under renewed focus following the implementation of its PCRA upgrade. This upgrade introduced smart accounts, allowing wallets to access smart contracts more efficiently. Gas fees have also dropped to $0.09, according to the video. Additional features include gas sponsorship and support for ERC-20 gas tokens, making ETH transactions more accessible.

The upgrade now includes biometric login options and passkey features. This comes as Ethereum’s value has jumped almost 50% in the last month. Altcoin Buzz notes that when ETH prices keep climbing like this, it usually signals the start of altcoin season.

Ondo (ONDO) is currently leading the real-world asset (RWA) sector, with a market cap nearly three times that of Maker (MKR), according to the analyst. The protocol has launched a US treasury-backed stablecoin (OUSG) and executed a cross-chain settlement with Chainlink and JP Morgan’s Kexus.

The project also announced instant redemptions between PayPal’s PYUSD and Ondo’s OUSG stablecoin. Ondo works closely with BlackRock’s BUIDL and Circle to maintain 24/7 liquidity. With a current market price just under $1, the analyst considers ONDO well-positioned in its sector.

Plume Network is gaining attention for its growing developer ecosystem and ties to Binance. With over 180 projects building on its network, Plume is creating an RWA-configured chain equipped with tokenization tools and a native stablecoin, PYUSD.

Plume also includes a passport feature for identity, an in-house oracle called Nexus, and a tokenization engine named ARC. According to Altcoin Buzz, the project is backed by YZI Labs, formerly Binance Labs, and could be listed on Binance in the future. The network is expected to launch its mainnet by early June.

The video cites broader market developments such as the progress of the Genius Act in the US Senate and MicroStrategy’s plan to purchase more Bitcoin. With Bitcoin nearing a new all-time high, historical patterns suggest that an altcoin rally may follow. Altcoin Buzz concludes that Ethereum, Ondo, and Plume are each positioned to benefit from the coming phase of the cycle.
