TokenSoft recently decided to bring a new functionality that should make trading more interesting for retail and accredited investors alike. The company announced that it will allow customers — various firms — to issue security tokens.

Essentially, TokenSoft will allow the issuance of digital securities which will then be able to trade on tZERO’s ATS (Alternative Trading System). This can include anything, from shares of companies to real-estate investments in their tokenized form, and more.

TokenSoft is a leading technology platform for blockchain-based securities. It makes transfer procedures and compliance with the rules and regulations for the security market much easier,

Mason Borda, the CEO of TokenSoft, announced that the company is very excited to integrate with tZERO. He continued by adding that the move will provide the company’s customers with a new path for secondary liquidity on the industry-leading trading platform.

tZERO is a well-known platform, a subsidiary of another major firm, Medici Ventures, and Overstock’s blockchain arm. The company originally allowed retail investors to trade on its platform back in 2019. Originally, the platform was only allowing accredited investors and institutions.

In January 2021, the platform also revealed that it has partnered with Prime Trust. This is a digital asset infrastructure provider, who also sought to use tZERO’s Alternative Trading System.

tZERO CEO, Saum Noursalehi, also commented on the new partnership, stating that “We are excited to partner with Tokensoft and look forward to providing a more efficient and simplified process for these issuers to access secondary liquidity through the tZERO ATS.”
