Blockchain technology has a wide array of applications that can benefit the entire world, which is what many financial firms are counting on. Some institutions are implementing the technology in their own ledger, while others decide to find a new way that blockchain can be applied.

In a memorandum of understanding that was announced on Wednesday, Tezos Foundation will be collaborating with Yonsei University as they work to expand blockchain talents.

This agreement, which specifically employs the help of the Digital Society Research Center from Yonsei University, will provide “blockchain education cooperation, training of OCalm [Objective Calm] and smart contract experts.” Much of the MoU centers around human resources and educating students about the industry.

“Through this agreement, both sides will strengthen the expertise of the blockchain and education expertise and discuss various cooperation opportunities to lead the blockchain field,” the press release adds.

Over the summer, there was already a public call for research grants by the Tezos Foundation, which ended of researching blockchain tech and smart contracts. During the same timeframe, the Tezos up supply grants to four institutions with the intent Foundation announced that they would be the subject of an audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers Switzerland (PwC).

This week, Sumitomo Mitsui joined forces with the Ethereum Foundation and the University of Tokyo to offer an education course at the university, hopefully enlisting some developers for the future.

The class is being called the “Blockchain Innovation Donation Course, and has already begun, as of November 1st this year. It will be available until October 31st, 2021, which happens to be the 13th anniversary of Bitcoin.
