Adidas and move-to-earn platform STEPN have announced a major collaboration aimed at promoting the fitness app, NFTs and Web3 ecosystems of both brands.

The partnership will see STEPN and Adidas Web3 studio ALTS by adidas bring a limited edition co-branded NFTs to the Solana blockchain.

According to an announcement published on Monday, STEPN’s alliance with the global sports brand lines up multiple activations and will go beyond digital collectibles.

“This collaboration between STEPN and adidas underscores how powerful it is when you can move-and-earn in both the virtual and real world simultaneously. That such a physical and digital – or ‘phygital’ – partnership between the most widely used lifestyle app and a global brand like adidas are now a reality indicates the direction lifestyle rewards are going,” STEPN CEO Shiti Manghani said in a statement.

“Our collaboration goes beyond NFTs, offering digital assets that inspire a healthier, more active lifestyle. With adidas by our side, we are not just dreaming of a new future; we are building it,” the Stepn team posted on X.

The first step in the partnership involves a batch of 1,000 genesis sneaker NFTs that will feature a number of iconic silhouettes from Adidas.

Stepn will raffle the co-branded Genesis Sneakers on its marketplace MOOAR, the platform’s NFT marketplace.

The community can expect the genesis collection from April 17, with 200 NFTs set aside for users on an allowlist that includes ‘ALTS by adidas’ NFTs holders and eligible FSL community members.

The next raffle will include the public and open on April 18.

Today’s news comes a few days after STEPN announced a huge airdrop for its community. The $30 million GMT tokens airdrop happened in two phases, with the first phase 1 targeted for STEPN badge holders and phase 2 for Genesis Sneakers holders.
