There may be a shift in the industry though, due to a collaboration between Primas, a creative social network, and SohoMuse, a full-range blockchain-based service. The latter party in the collaboration will also provide a Trusted Content Protocol (DTCP), economic incentives, and decentralized crawlers.

Concerning Primas, it already has a blockchain protocol in place to promote content credibility and use, which provides a higher incentive for content creators to provide high-quality material. Once the content is created, it can be traced with SohoMuse. Together, these efforts may finally be able to resolve the issues faced by content creators, which are – as previously mentioned – difficulty in tracing the content and maintaining intellectual property rights.

The transparency qualities that Primas offers are essential for the platform’s growth and it may enable it stand out from other platforms, who do not have the same level of transparency.

For those who are wondering how the project works, the good news is that the mechanics of the project are simple. Primas features an DTCP, which retains and formats metadata for the content creator on the SohoMuse platform. The content creator receives a unique DNA as well. As links to the work are generated and it is shared, metadata is extracted and the information is linked together so that there is a way to trace its movement.

Once the links are generated, they are recorded on the blockchain so that the content can be easily and efficiently tracked. This process allows for the content to become more trustworthy and usable as well. Costin mentioned in a statement,
