Sneakmart, a community-driven Streetwear app dedicated to streetwear including sneakers, clothing & accessories has announced collaborations with StockX, the global leading streetwear marketplace.

This will see StockX becoming the official physical sneaker partner for SneakMart’s first Metakicks drop according to a recent press release.

Following SneakMart’s first Metakicks drop, the company had unveiled plans to bring its MetaKicks sneaker NFTs to the Metaverse in 2022, to enable users to customize their virtual avatars and unlock various benefits in the digital world. This reflects the company’s plans to tokenize real-world sneakers on the blockchain.

Considering the growing popularity and collectibility of sneakers,  models by various brands apparently hold a significant appeal. Hence, Sneakmart has sought to combine the digital and physical worlds, while enabling users to showcase their kicks in a growing online ecosystem.

Sneakmart believes that NFTs will be a crucial cog in the Web3 machine, enabling fashion trends to take on a digital nature. Hence, it will leverage the traction of its community-driven mobile app dedicated to streetwear. 

Sneakmart is on the mission to reach a growing global audience of sneaker collectors and MFT enthusiasts through the tokenized sneakers.

Following Sneakmart’s integration with StockX, the first Metakicks drop will feature over $200,000 in physical sneaker prizes, meanwhile, StockX will oversee the international delivery after winners are able to choose their size.

According to the announcement, international soccer players have taken note of the first Metakicks drops and are set to lend their creativity to the project. The participants include Didier Droga, Kinsley Coman, and Marco Verratti, who created a unique 1-of-1 edition of personalized Metakicks.

Moreso, the announcement unveiled that the lucky owners of these Metakicks will have access to other benefits, including access to signed items, VIP game access, or a meet-and-greet. 

Sneakmart plans to unveil a series of 1-of-1 Metakicks created through collaborations with brands and Web3 communities. The first unique Metakicks is designed by Savoir Faire Paris, granting the NFT holder access to a Jordan 1 Off-White Coffee Latte pair. 

Sneakmart has provided a total of 6,250 mystery boxes to be created on the Ethereum blockchain. These boxes will be sold on its website and will help holders win one of the 625 pairs of physical sneakers.
