Kusama’s statement was prompted by a remark made by the KuCoin team on X. The crypto exchange’s team had suggested that “the meme coin with the loudest community will likely take the lead in the Memecoin season.” 

Responding to the proclamation, Kusama dismissed the claim, emphasizing that only the meme coin with the strongest plans, vision, community, supporters, partners, and execution will emerge as the leading cryptocurrency in the meme coin season. He concluded his statement by affirming that SHIB possesses all these top qualities, positioning it as a top contender in the 2024 bull market.  

Kusama’s declaration holds significant weight, given SHIB’s track record as one of the industry’s top-performing cryptocurrencies. Over the past months, the cryptocurrency has experienced impressive rallies and exponential gains, driving its recent price surges and drawing the attention of market investors.

Meme coins like Pepe and Dogwifhat have experienced substantial gains, with WIF skyrocketing to over $2, marking a substantial 484.15% price increase in just a month, according to CoinMarketCap. Meanwhile, PEPE has witnessed a monthly price surge of 686.84%, driving its price up to $0.0000088 at the time of writing.
