Ripple’s XRP Meets Resistance at $0.40 After Bullish Surge

The week marks the first prolonged period of a bullish surge since bearish conditions overcame the market in mid-November.

The bullish conditions have resulted in XRP rising above a range it traded in last week between $0.29 and $0.31. XRP continued its surge to overcome resistance at $0.35 and now approaches the $0.40 point.

XRP has approached the $0.4 point both today and yesterday but has failed to overcome the level on both occasions.

$0.39 to $0.40 has been a significant area of trading activity over the past two months acting as both support and resistance on numerous occasions.

XRP has since retraced from today’s test and currently trades around $0.37.

The momentum remains on the side of buyers with both the RSI and MACD increasing to the upside.

The hourly chart provides a closer look at the recent price action of XRP.

Price action approached the $0.39 to $0.4 area both today and yesterday but reversed each time. $0.35 came into support after yesterdays reversal.

Price dropped below this important level but rose back above it each time.
