Ripple has been generating some positive headlines lately and today just adds to its collection. The platform’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse is set to participate in a blockchain summit on October 18, 2018, in New York. The Summit is being hosted by Mars Finance and it will be attended by global leaders in the financial industry worldwide.

The discussion at the summit will center around the “Next Step” concerning the blockchain industry. A few ancillary discussions may be about the stablecoin and how effective governance can take place in the industry.

It is also speculated that the summit will include discussions with Ripple, Morgan Stanley, NASDAQ, Standard and Poor, Barclays, and Digital Galaxy. Mars Finance’s founder, Fred Wang, is hoping to improve the company’s global reach by creating Mars Finance US, which is also poised to be unveiled at the summit. Thus, the company will not only be featured in China, but also in the United States and it may be able to enhance the importance of blockchain.

Those from China attending the summit include Dao Yuan, Chairman of Zongguancun Blockchain Industry Alliance; Shouji Zouh, a blockchain industry personality and CEO of FBG Capital; Chuanwei Zou, Chief Economist at Bitmain; Tianyuan Wei, Partner of sharp-Eye Capital; and Feng Han, of Elastos.

The Summit is also expected to be a large-scale event and companies such as DGF, Sharp-Eye Capital, Consensus Lab, EUB Chain, and Crypto Capital will participate in hosting the event. Further, another positive quality of the event is that it will have an all-night cocktail party. With that, investors will be able to meet and greet and to establish the connections necessary to further develop the blockchain industry.

When the news released concerning the event, Ripple had shown some recovery from last week’s market decline. The digital currency token is priced at $0.46 and the platform’s market cap is $18,609,913,871.
