When it comes to cryptocurrencies, the porn industry it is leaping ahead to embrace the latest innovation. Pornhub, one of the biggest and most recognized pornography websites globally, will start accepting Tron tokens soon. Plans to include ZCash, a privacy coin, are also in the pipeline.

Pornhub made headlines when it started accepting Verge payments on its platform. With support for Tron and ZenCash upcoming, the platform is expanding its reach into the digital currency industry. Pornhub VP Corey Price said in a statement:

“Decentralized payment systems have continued to grow in popularity, and cryptocurrency adoption is exploding across a broad economic spectrum. Today, cryptocurrencies are especially viable in the adult entertainment industry because they are privacy-centric and incorporate more anonymity tools than traditional tender.”

Justin Sun and Tron recently bought the troubled peer-to-peer sharing platform BitTorrent. The platform has been banned in several countries, their trackers had been shut down, and legal problems have been following the team due to copyright issues. Launched in 2004, the platform remained controversial since its inception and had reportedly been looking for a buyer for some years now. Several parties interested in buying BitTorrent stepped out of the deal. But Sun bought the platform which has around 150 million users for an estimated $140 million in cash recently. It is interesting to note that the transaction wasn’t made in Tron.

A statement made by Tron suggests its plans for the future. It states that Tron “aims to be a decentralized entertainment content-sharing platform eventually leveraging blockchain and peer-to-peer network technology.” The BitTorrent platform could be used to increase the user base of the cryptocurrency.

Pornhub, on the other hand, has 90 million daily users, which is an excellent opportunity for Tron to expand its user base once again, hence this latest development. However, it could also turn off other companies with a more conservative approach from partnering.
