People Have Been Asking Google “How To Buy Ripple” And Monica Says It’s Not Up For Sale

There are two people in the crypto space: Those who really understand much about it, and those who haven’t really caught up with its dynamics. For example, it’s really interesting to notice that there are still some people out there who haven’t quite grasped the difference between Ripple and its native cryptocurrency known as XRP.

Monica Tweets About It

In a recent tweet, Monica Long said that, indeed, there are a lot of people who want to buy Ripple. Oddly, these people don’t really want to buy Ripple, the company, but XRP. To explain that, Monica pointed out that “how to buy Ripple” has been tagged by Google as one of the most searched phrases on its giant Search Engine. Monica Long is a Senior Vice President at Ripple, the company that created XRP.

To deal with the confusion, Monica took time to explain that Ripple is a company and that it’s not up for sale. However, she did admit that the fact that people have been so much interested in the cryptocurrency is a sure sign that the XRP ecosystem is really growing.

Opinions

Judging from some of the responses on Monica’s thread, it’s easy to understand why there’s this confusion. One commenter asked about who sells XRP, an indication that they might have mistaken the crypto with the company. However, a lot of commentators were positive about the whole Ripple and XRP thing and what the company was really trying to accomplish.

In fact, one user suggested that there should be a better way for people to buy XRP without necessarily having to go through intermediaries like Bitcoin.

What’s Driving The XRP Buying Sentiment?

It’s been noticeable that XRP has been putting up quite a fight against the bears of late, something that isn’t really comparable to much of the crypto market.

Couple that with Ripple’s recent achievements in convincing banks to use XRP as a base currency for funds transfer, and add to it the fact that a lot of prominent crypto exchanges have been listing XRP, and what you have is a crypto token that looks pretty ripe for investment in the eyes of many. As such, it’s normal for people to seek to understand more about a good investment opportunity especially one that has a lot of media buzz about it.

You really shouldn’t visit Pornhub’s new SFW section at work – or Starbucks

Mondays can be slow for tech news, so I began trawling some unusual sources online for stories that might interest our audience, and I eventually found myself on Pornhub. The site added an SFW section last week, noting that it featured “hundreds of videos with ranging topics, including adult entertainers sharing advice and experiences; compilation videos with attractive, yet clothed people; video game reviews and demonstrations; and more.

Dan “The butterfly” Larimer is flitting from one token to another. After BitShares, Steemit and EOS, is he going to start another project?

Having a portfolio full of half-completed projects is a hallmark of bipolar disorder. People who can harness their energy when they are in a hypomanic phase can be really productive. Those who can’t often go from task to task, planning grand, unrealistic projects that are never finished before moving on to something else.
