Peer Inc., a social media company focused on building the social network of the future, is elated to announce the addition of a specialist team of engineers from Zenly that will work on developing its AI-powered 3D maps.
Peer’s new team, known by its codename ‘Wonka’ in tech circles, is popularly known for developing Zenly’s Innovative 3D social maps platform. This platform has grown to more than 160 million downloads, with more than 35 million daily active users in 2022.
While commenting on the new team, Tony Tran, Founder and CEO of Peer Inc, explained:
“Zenly users adored its polished and delightful features. We’re huge fans as well, and we look forward to working with the Wonka team to recreate that magic and take it to the next level.”
Peer Inc is developing a range of innovative products. These products will combine cutting-edge technologies like blockchain, AI, AR, and computer vision to enable users to share and interact in exciting new ways. This new acquisition will help fast-track the development of Peer’s gamified social network.
The Peer community has highly anticipated the launch of the Peer app, which will be available on Android and iOS in Q2 2023. The app will allow users to construct their personal ‘place graph’, memories, and a map of people and places. The app seeks to make it easy for users to navigate their day-to-day activities, explore new worlds shared by others, and revisit memories in real-world locations.
