Panasonic Partners With Non-Profit To Enhance Blockchain Scene

Panasonic is now the corporate partner of small-scale LA Blockchain Lab. The latter is compromised of collaborative efforts between educators, government, investors, and startups who are interested in improving local perception concerning distributed ledger technology.

With Panasonic’s help, the Blockchain Lab may see more opportunities. The platform released the following statement concerning the collaboration,

“It will promote blockchain development in Southern California, and Panasonic will refer LA Blockchain Lab additional corporate partners for its mission . . . . Further, Panasonic will have access to a great deal more information from studies, proof-of-concepts, and so much more.”

The blockchain scene is changing and it is being fueled by former Silicon Valley executives who have left their lucrative positions to help the technology flourish.

According to LA Blockchain Lab’s co-founder Benjamin Tsai,

“Blockchain in Southern California is very vibrant . . . a number of crypto and blockchain platforms, including Brock Pierce’s DNA, Howard Mark’s StartEngine, Science, Wavemaker Genesis are all based here. We are also working with corporates and government. For example, the NBA’s Loss Angeles Clippers is interest in a hackathon for under-privileged kids. Moreover, the City of Los Angeles is interested in a ‘Shark Tank’ style capital raising event.”

Panasonic has also gained a great deal of attention this year due to its innovative efforts, especially in relation to its supplying Tesla with car batteries, robotics, automatic, and advanced electronics. Another concept is integrated supply chain, which seems to be a top priority for the company. Blockchain may be a factor that can significantly enhance the supply chain process and it may lead to greater sufficiency as well. Panasonic conducted a study that recently found, “companies see very strong benefits from automation software that simplifies process.”

Tsai added, that LA is “the source of the highest amount of engineers who come out of universities every year.”

In February 2019, Panasonic and LA Blockchain Lab are scheduled to co-host a business event called “Smart City and Blockchain” to generate discourse concerning the application of blockchain.
