The world’s 82nd ranked cryptocurrency, Nuls, officially launched its mainnet on July 10. A blog post published by the Nuls team this morning recapped the launch and gave highlights from the company’s celebration conference that took place in Beijing last night.

“Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our tech-team and testing community, we were delighted yesterday to announce the successful launch of our main-net. It has been just 9 short months since the inception of NULS, and so much has already been achieved.”

Nuls is a China-based blockchain project that advertises itself as being an adaptable blockchain for enterprise solutions. The project’s mission is to accommodate a multitude of blockchain application usages, reduce technical thresholds and costs, and resolve the lack of trust in centralized databases.

Nuls’ features include multiple blockchains, smart contracts, and proof-of-credit via cross-chain consensus modules. Impressively, Nuls has gone from conception to launch in less than a year.

Last night’s mainnet celebration was attended by 300 delegates from the Chinese media and blockchain community and was live streamed over the Internet to Chinese and western viewers.

Highlights from the conference included, Liesa Huang, a Linguistics master degree holder with over 10 years experience in marketing and commercial management, being made the new CEO of the company. Huang announced during the celebration that Nuls had formed a number of new strategic partnerships with companies like PRISM, Bitmain, and the Dengfei charity foundation.

Huang also revealed that NULS would be creating a new technology and research department. The team will consist of 5 blockchain experts, one of whom has already joined the team and is responsible for Nul’s smart contract solution.

“This research will not just be limited to NULS, but to blockchain in the wider sense,” said Huang.

Nuls is currently working on their first product, the Chain Factory, which is set to be ready for market by the end of 2018. The Chain Factory will allow users to create their own blockchains as well as their own tokens and eventually buy and sell tokens within the Nuls ecosystem.

To help speed up the development of the Chain Factory, the Nuls team will be doubling the size of their core technical team from 15 to 30 people. The company will follow that up by recruiting an additional 50 technical workers.
