NEO, the Chinese blockchain giant, is having its second Seattle DevCon event on February 16 and 17, 2019.
It is promising to provide details of the upcoming NEO 3.0 upgrade for the blockchain-based smart economy platform.
It is also welcoming “future blockchain talent” by offering free tickets for the event to students and developers.
NEO 3.0 Details To Be Announced During the EventNEO will announce the latest upgrade to its platform, NEO 3.0 during the DevCon event.
NEO founder and original core developer, Erick Zhang promises that he will reveal more details about the smart-economy platform upgrade, which will most notably include how it makes it “ready for large-scale commercial use.”
It’s also expected that NEO 3.0 will bring greater stability, faster transaction speeds, and “expanded application programming interfaces for smart contracts.”
This upgrade will be its biggest since the launch of the mainnet in October 2016.
The event is set to be held at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Seattle.
NEO founders Zhang and Da Hongfei will feature at the event, along with other prominent speakers from the blockchain industry.
These speakers will include Drew Gude, managing director of Microsoft Digital, Daniel Haudenschild, Swisscom Blockchain CEO, and Miha Kralj, the managing director of Accenture, the world’s largest consulting company.
Free Tickets to the EventNEO is distributing free tickets to the event to developers and students as Seattle is a hotbed for technology innovation with students from its colleges and universities set to be some of the most in-demand developers in the industry.
NEO is promising to give students valuable experience in the latest blockchain developments at the event.
This comes as part of NEO’s strategy to attract promising young talent, studying computer science and coding, to its blockchain platform.
Neo will host a developer workshop during the event to introduce NEO’s smart economy platform to coders.
The workshop will teach developers “how to set up a NEO development environment, design a smart contract, deploy it to the blockchain, and interface with a smart contract.”
Participants will learn the skills needed to build dApps and launch them on the NEO platform.
Another part of the blockchain giant’s strategy is to target the development of dApps and blockchain games.
DevCon teams who are already working on NEO projects will provide updates on their work during the event.
Nash, Moonlight, Bridge Protocol and Guardian Circle will be amongst the teams sharing updates on their work along with BlaCat.
