The crypto industry has witnessed more growth than ever before in 2021, and it seems like everyone is extremely bullish on it these days. With that said, some groups appear more bullish than others, and recent information indicates that wealthy millennial investors are among the most bullish individuals when it comes to digital currencies.

CNBC’s wealth editor, Robert Frank, spoke about the topic in a recent interview. He noted that a recent survey that polled investors with $1 million or more indicates that many wealthy investors are becoming more cautious about the economy and the markets.

He also said that the big worry right now — unsurprisingly — lies with inflation. Inflation represents the top risk for the economy, and concerns about it have troubled investors ever since the COVID-19 pandemic originally emerged.

However, when asked about the reason for their concerns, as many as 23% have said inflation, while the exact same percentage also listed the US government dysfunction as their major concern. Another 11% listed supply chain disruptions, and 10% said that their concern lies with the coronavirus. Finally, 7% listed labor shortages, and another 7% said that they see national debt as the greatest risk to the US economy in the next 12 months.

With a situation like that — where inflation and government dysfunction are seen as the biggest threats — many are turning to digital currencies, and for obvious reasons. With most coins having limited supply, there is no risk of inflation by printing new ones. At the same time, cryptocurrencies are decentralized, so no government or centralized institution governs them, which is what millionaire millennials seem to be the most concerned about.

According to Frank, millionaire millennials have at least half of their wealth in crypto, which makes them the most bullish of all the groups invested in digital currency.
