Galaxy Digital Capital Management Lures In Goldman Sachs Employee Ian Taylor

Mike Novogratz’s crypto investment bank, Galaxy Digital Capital Management, recently announced that they have hired former Goldman Sachs banker Ian Taylor. The date of joining is said to be by Jan 2019.

At Goldman Sachs,Taylor worked for close to two decades. He explored various domains like being the executive director, head of equity capital markets of Latin America and Canada. He currently serves as the head of real estate, lodging, and gaming equity capital markets.

Novogratz himself was a former hedge fund manager and a partner at Goldman Sachs. This is the main reason why he has the unique ability to draw fellow bankers to his won company.

Taylor will supervise the advisory-services arm, known as Galaxy Digital Advisors LLC although most news still remains speculation.

Earlier this year Novogratz hired Richard Kim, another Goldman Sachs employee who currently serves as the Cheif Operating Officer. The company has recently announced multiple changes including a change on the company’s stance around ICOs.

“The Company is adapting to the regulatory framework and the opportunities it is currently seeing, and therefore repositioning its Advisory business from focusing on small ICO advisory and blockchain consulting to instead serve larger, more institutional clients in the space. To that end, the Company is shutting down its Vancouver office, and will be adding to its New York-based team.”
