Popular freelancing marketplace MicroWorkers (MW) has integrated ONTO Wallet as the latest achievement of its partnership with Ontology, which started in February last year. Ontology unveiled this news through a blog post on March 9, noting that this integration is part of the duo’s broader goal to offer freelancers an additional payment option on top of PayPal and Payoneer. With this addition, the platform’s users will soon be able to send or receive funds in cryptocurrencies.
According to the blog post, Ontology also offered MicroWorkers blockchain support to help underpin the platform’s increasing Artificial Intelligence (AI) needs. Additionally, Ontology provided ONT ID on-chain, allowing the platform’s users to store and share their account history and reputation safely. In doing so, Ontology has offered them state-of-the-art encryption and unprecedented control over their accounts.
Reportedly, the initial pilot phase of this integration is already done and has paved the way for MicroWorkers to offer its users access to the above services soon.
Giving freelancers more financial freedomMicroWorkers’ users will be able to use their ONT digital wallet to withdraw Binance USD (BUSD), which is then easily convertible to a plethora of fiats and cryptocurrencies. Apart from added convenience, the platform’s users will also get to enjoy low withdrawal prices, seeing as the wallet will only charge 2%.
Furthermore, the two companies seek to incentivize users to use the new service by eliminating card-opening fees and offering them crypto rewards. Finally, the users can easily generate an income certificate on ONTO while hunting for related jobs.
According to Nhatvi Nguyen, the CEO of MicroWorkers, the ONTO wallet integration would offer MicroWorkers’ users a new level of financial freedom. This achievement would also see the users enjoy more benefits that the company aims to introduce. He went on to note that the blockchain identity feature is a significant addition and that the firm is working on embracing burgeoning technologies to improve the overall experience for its users across the globe.
