Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS Marketplaces recently added the Ontology ONT_Dev_Platform.

Microsoft and Amazon may not be the only tech giants adding Ontology to their online software stores as Google is expected to do the same in January 2019.

The Ontology blockchain dApp product is built on a cloud service, which includes Block Explorer, SmartX and the Ontology standalone test environment.

The dApp will be available for free to users around the globe and can be deployed in just one click.

This announcement comes just after news of Ontology making it to the fourth spot of the China Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID) public blockchain ranking index.

What Does the Dapp Include?

The ONT_Dev_Platform includes Ontology Test mode the standalone test environment to develop decentralized applications on the Ontology blockchain.

It also includes the one-stop IDE solution SmartX, which comes with powerful online editors and smart contract templates. Developers can use it to compile, deploy and invoke smart contracts.

Thirdly it contains the Ontology Block Explorer which syncs local Ontology blockchain information and enables developers to see transactions, block heights and more.

The dApp has currently been included in Azure and AWS marketplaces and is expected to debut on Google in January 2019.

CCID Ranks Ontology Fourth in Its Index

The China Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID), working under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China ranked Ontology fourth in its latest Global Public Blockchain Technology Assessment Index (GPBTAI).

The Ontology blockchain project ranks fourth with a 112.6 composite index.

The assessment is made with joint participation from the China Software Testing Center, and experts from top Chinese universities include Peking University and Tsinghua University.

The index has been updated every month since May 2018, evaluating public blockchain projects on creativity, applicability and basic technology.

Four of the top ten ranked blockchains are relatively newer and were launched only in 2018.
