Manchester United and Tezos (XTZ/USD) entered into a landmark multi-year partnership, under which Tezos’ logo will be featured on the club’s range of men’s and women’s training kits, according to a post on their official site.

The first team squad will wear a Tezos-branded training kit for the first time before the upcoming match against Southampton. This will introduce fans of the Reds to the partnership to Web3 technology through the Tezos blockchain.

The world’s most advanced and sustainable blockchain

Tezos is leading a global blockchain revolution to improve the speed, security, and efficiency of digital interactions without the need for middlemen. The original proof-of-stake blockchain utilizes an energy-efficient design, which allows it to operate in a cleaner and environmentally friendlier manner than legacy chains.

Another aspect setting Tezos apart from other blockchains is that it can evolve seamlessly. Its global community of developers make regular updates, which users approve.

The partnership will also include novel fan experiences on the blockchain and a pledge to support Manchester United Foundation with ongoing donations in XTZ. The funds will go toward training and educating young locals.
