KuCoin has announced that they are welcoming Ian Balina as its first Global Titan Ambassador. Balina confirmed the statement by adding that KuCoin will become his “official exchange of choice.”
KuCoin Announces Its First GTA EverIn an official release made on August 14, the representatives of KuCoin exchange announced that as a part of their Global Titan Ambassador Program, they will be welcoming Ian Balina. Balina was presented in the release as a top cryptocurrency influencer, who will now be working with research and quality control as part of the strategic partnership.
Balina confirmed his newly established agreement with KuCoin in an official post on Twitter published on August 14. He said:
“I’ve joined forces with KuCoin (@kucoincom), as their first Global Titan Ambassador. KuCoin will become my official exchange of choice for me, the Diary of a Made Man brand and my entire community going forward.”
KuCoin described its newly announced Global Titan Ambassador Program as a way of establishing alliances with ambassadors, who will be working on minimizing risks for KuCoin users. It was also stated that Balina will be working on advocating cryptocurrency projects for KuCoin.
However, the August 14 Twitter post fired up a series of comments that reminded the public of the KuCoin “office case.” One user, BomboBTC, said:
“BREAKING: Kucoin offices finally found. Location: Evernote.”
Another user, Robin, said:
“You signed this contract at their hong kong offices?”
On August 11, a post on Medium warned the public of the dangers of trading with KuCoin, providing evidence that the KuCoin exchange was not found at address listed for their office in Hong Kong.
KuCoin Offers “Incredible News” As a ResponseOn August 12, KuCoin responded to allegations regarding its address in Hong Kong, stating that it was actually just a mailing address for multiple subsidiaries of KuCoin. It added that their headquarters are located in Singapore. At the end of the statement, KuCoin stated that they would soon announce some “incredible news”.
Three days later, Ian Balina was announced as the first Global Titan Ambassador of KuCoin. The crypto investor and influencer was recently involved in an alleged hack attack, which happened during the live streaming of an initial coin offering review.
What made the public suspicious about the alleged hack attack despite Balina’s outreach during this case is the fact that the alleged hack took place during tax season.
