The global cryptocurrency platform KuCoin announced today that it has achieved the CryptoCurrency Security Standard (CCSS) certification, becoming the first top-10 exchange to obtain the globally recognized security credential.
The company stated that this milestone reinforces its commitment to safeguarding user assets and sets a new security standard for the industry.
New certification sets an industry benchmarkWith the addition of the CCSS certification, KuCoin is now the only major crypto exchange to hold four leading security and privacy certifications, which also include ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27701:2025, and SOC 2 Type II.
The company said this suite of certifications reflects its holistic approach to managing both general and crypto-specific security risks and is a significant milestone in its ongoing 2 billion dollar Trust Project.
