KRAFTON, Inc., who’s behind the wildly popular PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS battle royale game, has signed an agreement with Solana Labs (SOL/USD) for support of blockchain gaming design and marketing, Invezz learned from a press release.

Solana is a top-performing and decentralized blockchain developed to enable scalable, user-friendly apps across the globe. It delivers scaling without compromising composability and security, allowing developers to build for the long term.

A single global state drives the reliable blockchain’s performance. It can process tens of thousands of smart contracts simultaneously through the innovative Proof of History protocol. This is a distributed clock that unlocks sub-second, low-latency finality across the global state.

Through this partnership, KRAFTON and Solana Labs will cooperate on investment opportunities, creating a long-term relationship to develop and run NFT- and blockchain-based games and services.

KRAFTON announced in February that it would enter the web 3.0 and NFT space based on the game operation and growth capacity acquired from the world-famous PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.
