As all other altcoins, the Kaspa price got hit during the ongoing crypto market downturn and dipped to $0.065 range which is mostly in line with March lows as well before KAS bounced to over $0.080.

Let’s have a look at some technicals on a daily timeframe to understand where could the Kaspa price be headed today.

RSI is 39.513 – The Relative Strength Index for Kaspa sits below the neutral 50 level, suggesting moderate bearish momentum. This reading indicates the coin is approaching oversold territory but isn’t quite there yet. Typically, values below 30 signal oversold conditions where buyers might step in.

MACD(12,26) -0.005 – The Moving Average Convergence Divergence indicator shows a slightly negative value, pointing to bearish momentum in the short term. The negative reading suggests that the 12-day moving average is below the 26-day moving average, showing downward price pressure.

CCI is -77.8795 – The Commodity Channel Index reading is negative, showing that Kaspa is trading below its statistical average. While not extremely oversold (which would be below -100), this reading suggests bearish sentiment is currently dominating the market.

Highs/Lows is -0.0036 – This small negative value in the Highs/Lows indicator suggests that recent lows are slightly outpacing recent highs, reinforcing the current bearish trend. The market is making slightly lower lows compared to previous periods.

Ultimate Oscillator 48.073 – This reading sits just below the middle range of 50, indicating a slight bearish bias. The Ultimate Oscillator combines multiple timeframes, and this neutral-leaning-bearish reading suggests balanced pressure with a slight advantage to sellers.

ROC -15.54 – The Rate of Change indicator shows a significant negative value, indicating that Kaspa has lost momentum over the measured period. This 15.54% decline signals strong selling pressure has been present in recent days.

The Kaspa blockchain is preparing for a major upgrade called the Crescendo Hardfork, which is scheduled for deployment on its mainnet on May 5, 2025, at 15:00 UTC. We doubt this upgrade could influence price movement today.

Bearish Scenario: If selling pressure continues, Kaspa might test the recent lows around $0.065 again. The negative MACD and ROC readings suggest downward momentum could persist throughout the day. A break below $0.065 could potentially send KAS toward $0.060 as the next support level.

Bullish Scenario: On the other hand, the slightly oversold conditions shown by the RSI and CCI could attract some buyers looking for a short-term bounce. If Kaspa finds support at current levels, we might see a relief rally toward the $0.075 mark. Breaking above that would put the recent $0.080 level back in play as resistance.
