Instagram is testing a ‘regram’ feature to natively repost content

On Twitter there’s the retweet button. Facebook has the share icon. On Instagram, nothing. To date, users have had to get creative in their attempts to repost content from other accounts on to their own timelines.

Some used third-party apps that were just as good, sometimes better, at stealing data and hijacking accounts as they were at actually sharing content. Others just downloaded or screenshotted the original, and then republished it to their own feed — hopefully with a citation to the original. For years, though, Instagram users have been asking for a native share feature, just like those available…
