Huobi Technology Holdings Limited (HT/USD) has launched its strategic investment and M&A unit Huobi Tech Capital, Invezz learned from a press release. The new unit will look into areas such as the Metaverse, Web3, and DeFi in an effort to utilize investment opportunities in the blockchain industry.

Focusing on early-stage investments

Huobi Tech Capital will focus on strategic acquisitions that augment Huobi Tech’s blockchain ecosystem as well as on early-stage investments contingent upon industry trends. Among the flexible investment strategies, which it will adopt are token investments in the crypto world and traditional equity investment.

Strong progress with GameFi

Huobi Tech Capital has already made significant progress with GameFi investments. The entity recently completed an investment in a project involving a digital assets service platform for family offices.

The blockchain is a social tool to build trust and relationships as well as a cost-effective technology. Huobi Tech aims to support critical technological developments in the blockchain industry through its investments in leading start-ups.
