Huobi Tech (Huobi Technology Holdings Limited) and NEXTYPE announced the launch of a GameFi hackathon, which will feature a million-dollar prize pool. Huobi has plans to make this strategic investment in NEXTYPE, Invezz learned from a press release.

Huobi Tech (HT/USD) and NEXTYPE want to partner to usher in the GameFi 2.0 era. NEXTYPE is a world-leading integrated blockchain game distribution platform and one-stop service for players, ensuring a supreme experience of blockchain gaming.

Hackathon carried out in partnership with OKC

The partners aim to find high-quality projects worldwide, lead the game fields to embrace Web 3.0, and boost continuous development of the industry. The event, officially known as the NEXTYPE x Huobi Tech Metaverse Hackathon, is specially partnered with OKC and BGA (Blockchain Game Alliance) and sponsored by Lead Wallet, BitKeep Wallet, Huobi Japan, MAP Protocol, HyperPay, MDEX, and D’CENT Wallet.

A channel for users to explore the metaverse

The metaverse, the hottest buzzword in the blockchain industry, works by bringing the virtual and the real together. Its role in GameFi will become even more important in the future, especially in Play-to-Earn (P2E) mode. The partners believe it will provide a channel for users to explore and become part of the metaverse. Many popular gaming companies and internet giants are already working in this field.

The Hackathon is open to all developers who want to help grow and improve GameFi and Metaverse. Details of the Hackathon

The official starting date of the Hackathon is today, April 4. It will continue for 2 months. The participation process begins with online registration, review of the projects, Demo Day, GameFi round table, and other sections.

The best 10 Top Tier projects will be chosen to enter the GameFi Incubator. Prize support will exceed $1,000,000.

Token listing: opportunities provided by exchanges partners; Brand exposure support: media exposure and community communication opportunities from Huobi Tech, NEXTYPE, and other partners; Investment opportunity: potential investments from Crypto VCs.
