The candidate will join the Private Debt investment team (H.I.G. WhiteHorse) in Paris and support investment professionals in the origination, execution and monitoring of investment opportunities.

H.I.G. WhiteHorse is the Direct Lending credit affiliate of H.I.G. Capital, a leading global alternative investment firm with $70 billion of equity capital under management. H.I.G. WhiteHorse provides debt financing to performing mid-market companies in Europe and the US. The WhiteHorse Europe team has been awarded “Lower Mid-Market Lender of the Year, Europe” for 2021 and 2023 by Private Debt Investor.

The intern will work closely with the investment team and contribute to all stages of the investment process, including:

Supporting the team throughout the due diligence process up to the final investment decision: Review and analysis of due diligence materials (Information Memorandum, Financial / Commercial DD, etc.) Market research and strategic analysis of investment opportunities Financial modelling of LBOs and valuation analysis Assisting in the preparation of internal presentations for the Investment Committee Contributing to portfolio monitoring (performance analysis of existing investments, elaboration of periodical reporting, etc.)

Candidate profile

Excellent academic record from a top-tier university or business/engineering school Prior experience in Private Debt, Private Equity, M&A, Investment Banking and/or Transaction Services Rigorous and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills Team spirit, intellectual curiosity and drive are highly valued Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) Fluency in both English and French are required
