Founder and CEO of HashCash Consultants, Raj Chowdhury intends to make donations for war-torn Ukraine in cryptocurrency. The donation will be made in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT through a reputed charitable platform. 

Chowdhury has been into entrepreneurial ventures from a young age and had been an early investor of Bitcoin when he was still a student in the US. Having suffered the onslaught of the recession during 2008-09, firsthand, Chowdhury was intrigued by the prospects cryptocurrency could usher in. However, his first tryst with Bitcoin happened in 2011. 

A true believer and supporter of decentralized technology, Chowdhury is frequently vocal on issues related to cryptocurrency and openly advocates projects that can be represented by a cryptocurrency. 

“We were building up defenses against inflation when the pandemic struck. We’re only recovering from the pandemic and there’s a war asking a human and economic toll. And all we have is the crypto,” wrote Chowdhury over an email.

“It is up to the world’s political leaders to take their stands. We can only offer material relief and sustenance values that weigh little against the war-front miseries.” He added.

Cryptocurrency worth multimillion dollars has been donated by various organizations extending help to the Ukrainians. “This is doing our bit towards humanity with an appeal for good sense to dawn on political leaders,” he trailed off.

Chowdhury has previously been critical of the European crypto laws. He has also pointed out the opportunity in the brew for crypto payment processors. Chowdhury-led HashCash is in the talks for collaboration on a Metaverse development project. HashCash remittance product HC Remit is being used by a Vietnamese payment service company to route-in crypto payments in the region.

While it is essential to arrive at peace, at the earliest, the collective donations in crypto will help rebuild the nation and restore its economy. Possession of cryptocurrency also ensures that investors can carry their wealth anywhere without adding to their baggage.
