In an announcement last week, they stated that they have hired Robert Cornish as their first chief technology officer. Cornish previously worked as the top technology executive at the New York Stock Exchange. Cornish’s role with the company will be to oversee their new SMARTS Market Surveillance technology and Gemini Auctions. This tool will help to predict the price for the futures contracts from Bitcoin on the Cboe. This technology was handed over the Gemini platform after a recent deal that they partnered with Nasdaq to close. This deal will help users to get a fairer and more balanced marketplace.

In a statement from Cameron Winklevoss, he discussed where the platform will go by the end of July. He said,

“He will ensure that Gemini continues to deliver the best platform experience to our customers as possible and set the standards of excellence for the cryptocurrency industry as a whole.”
