Ethereum is one of the fastest growing open source projects on GitHub. At the moment there are 96 million projects and 27 million software developers on the code repository. With this innovation taking place in this network, Ethereum is one of the most active projects on GitHub.

SludeFeed uncovered the activity using GitHub’s Octoverse, the blockchain network Ethereum is the fifth largest growing open source project on the entire platform. The analysis takes into account growth trends on different projects, including machine learning, 3D printing and home automation, among others. The fastest growing projects are MicrosoftDocs, pytorch, godotengine and nuxt.

At the moment, Ethereum is one of the largest crypto and blockchain networks in the space and is backed by important institutions such as ConsenSys. Additionally, some sources say that there are tens of thousands of new developers joining the network per month.

Although the interest in GitHub has increased, the market performance of Ethereum in the last months has been relatively poor. Back in July, each ETH could be bought for $450 dollars. Today, each ETH can be bought for $205 dollars.

At the time of writing this article, Ethereum is the second largest cryptocurrency. It has a market capitalization of $20.84 billion dollars and a volume in the last 24 hours of $1.33 billion dollars.

Ethereum allows developers to build and deploy decentralized applications, including smart contracts.
