The crypto futures platform ErisX has decided to recruit people from famous companies to be a part of their top-level officers now. According to a recent announcement, Robert Thrash, Arnold Connel and John Denza were hired by the company.

Robert Thrash is joining as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and he comes from the Barclays bank. There, he spent eleven years in several positions, including leadership ones. His last job was to be the managing director of the bank’s derivatives section. This included the over the counter (OTC) desk, futures execution and other similar activities.

The new COO of ErisX believes that crypto sits on top of an intersection of the fintech industry and regulation, which continues to evolve every day. According to him, it is very important to bring in transparency for the market at the same time that people should increase their participation.

He also defends the idea of people having more intermediaries, which is not that popular in the Bitcoin circles. Why? Because he believes that they provide access to more participants who are not confident enough to enter the market on their own.

Arnold Connel will be the new head of infrastructure and he comes from Youtube, where he worked as the senior technical program manager. He spent a decade working in Google before he went to Youtube to work with the TV streaming section of the company.

The final member that was hired was John Denza, from Pico Quantitative Trading. He will be the next business development executive of the company. Before Pico, he worked at BATS Global Markets as the director of U. S. Sales of Equities and Derivatives.

Despite the current bear market, the company is focused on creating a better product now and to grow the company as ErisX will launch spot trading for BTC, BCH, ETH and LTC in the second quarter of the year. Also, the company is focused on working with a derivatives clearing license from the U. S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

According to the CEO of the company, Thomas Chippas, the company is securing talent in order to be able to create a more robust and regulated system which will help the organization to expand. He believes that the leaders of the space are still building their positions and he wants ErisX to be one of them.

As part of this effort to upgrade the company, ErisX hired Matthew Trudeau last year. He is the former president of Tradewind and a crypto expert. He was hired as the new Chief Strategy Officer.
