Dunamu Inc., a South Korean company behind crypto exchange Upbit, has announced the inaugural Upbit Developer Conference 2018 (UDC 2018). The UDC 2018 event, to be held between September 13 and 14 on Jeju Island in South Korea, will help in growing the platform into a specialized forum. One where a global gathering of developers will engage in in-depth discussions on key technological issues within the blockchain ecosystem.

UDC 2018 will be hosting several top names in the world of cryptocurrency and blockchain, including Bill Shihara, founder, and CEO of Bittrex, Mike Belshe, CEO of BitGo, Da Hongfei, founder of NEO, Ned Scott, co-founder, and CEO of Steemit, Jason Goldberg, CEO of OST, Li Jun, Founder of Ontology, and Chen Zhuling, co-founder of Aelf.

The event will hold several technical sessions, keynote sessions and even networking dinners with fellow developers and the biggest names in the industry. A more detailed program schedule will be available in the upcoming days.

Registration for the event is open till September 14. Discounts are offered to those who would register until August 10. Dunamu previously announced a KRW 100 billion ($93 million) investment in blockchain technology for the next three years, and the UDC aligns with its vision. The company, which is backed by Kakao, said that it will invest in start-ups that solve data analytics and management problems in particular. It will also focus on artificial intelligence, fintech and other investments via mergers and acquisitions.
