Has Justin Sun of Tron Committed Plagiarism? Here’s His Answer…

Virtual research specialists at DAR discovered something shady happening inside Tron’s source code. Developers at the company found some unfortunately distinguishable lines of code inside the platform that were also found in other cryptocurrency codes. Plagiarism is looked down upon in crypto as much as it is in writing, especially considering one of the sources is none other than Ethereum. Other platforms were also ‘stolen’ from. Tron programmers attempted to hide the code by making simple changes within the file parameters, like name and date for example. Luckily or unluckily, depending on how you look at it, Digital Asset Research spotted the familiar lines of code. DAR made the discovery while searching through code to solve some mechanical problems that were occurring.

Tron as his especially hard when Ethereum’s own Vitalik Buterin followed up the accusations with confirmation, thereby solidify them in the eyes of users across the community. Not only were lines of code copied, but so were several portions of Ethereum’s whitepaper. Other blockchain companies, startups and projects have also began coming out of the woodwork accusing Tron of using their code as well.

According to Justin Sun, recently elected Super Rep of Tron, company whitepapers where written by the company, containing no copying whatsoever. Sun claimed the whitepaper had been edited to improve language structure when translating the whitepaper to English. Tron publicly announced the corrections to their community, Sun claims the announcement had nothing to do with the claims of plagiarism. Tron’s Super Rep stated that they in no way copied any other project’s work.

Sun has been under speculation for his motives in the past as well. Reasons for previous negative attention has been for the theft of tokens when Tron’s value was up. Others are suspicious of hit easy win for the Super Rep position. Sun claims all accusations are false, instead stating his honest support for Tron and the cryptocurrency community.

Is Sun as authentic as he claims? Or has he performed some shady tactics in the past to improve his position in the cryptocurrency community? Leave your comments in the section below.
